Thought for the Day

You can't show someone the love of Christ if you turn your back on him/her.

I was reminded of this the other day when my fiancé and I were at church. Someone my fiancé didn't want to talk started to approach him, and he turned and started walking the other way. Not exactly the kind of thing you want to do to someone if you are a Christian - especially if your relationship with the individual in question is already under a strain.

I personally make it a point to try to never turn my back on anyone. I am always ready to talk - always ready to lend a helping hand - always ready to show people that I care. And I really do care.

That's a quality that seems to be lacking in our world today - true caring. But we as Christians are called to separate ourselves from the world, and that means stepping outside ourselves once in a while and reaching out to others. How awesome would it be if everyone just took a little time to show a little kindness to everyone they come in contact with?
